Epic Games has not yet revealed the exact reason for the delay or maybe any relation with the Coronavirus outbreak restrictions. This can be the case, which has let the developers mandatorily work from home. Although, this is not the first time Fortnite has delayed the release of any season.

Every season Fortnite delivers updates and modifications to the games for keeping the players busy. The main objective of Fortnite, like all combat royal games, is to be the end player ranking. Even though, players carry work in teams across most of the games.

At the time of the announcement regarding postponing the new season, the Fortnite team informed about adding advanced features to the existing season. They said various game updates are on the way that will supply unique gameplay, innovative challenges, bonus points and a few more surprises for the players.

In 2019 October, there was the launch of the initial season of Chapter-2 that continued for many months due to the delays by the developers.
